Here I am going to talk about coding, an important skill I learnt from YouTube.

When did you learn it?

I learnt this skill recently when I was building my website. I needed to do coding. So I decided to check some websites and I found a wonderful channel where there were important lessons regarding coding.

How did you learn it

I watched a lot of videos and practiced writing codes for my website. I made this activity regular for at least a couple of months and then I started assimilating lessons quickly. In the beginning I found it difficult to understand but by watching it again and again and doing it on a regular basis I learnt a lot. Whenever I had questions I commented below the video and the creator gave me a reply and assisted me in my difficulties. He also suggested some books related to coding which had some vital information so bought and read all of them. It was like distance learning. I had to synthesise my sources and do self study.

Why did you think it was important to learn it?

If I wanted a successful website then it was necessary to learn. It would help me to better understand and write more good content for my readers. Hiring a professional was not in my budget so I decided to learn and be self dependent. So whenever I face any difficulty I can solve it immediately and keep my website running at lightning speed.

I felt so proud when I wrote some codes and all of them were working fantastic. It was a sense of satisfaction and a movement of pride in myself. Now I was not helpless or dependent on anyone. Even I taught this skills to my siblings so they can assist me whenever I need a helping hand.

I am good at my academics and I do well in studies so my cousin brother always comes to me for help in academics. One day I promised to teach him something important and I forgot and went out with my friends to hangout. My cousin was waiting till night. I didn't show up and the next day It was his exam and he wanted my guidance. My grandfather got angry at me that day and taught me a lesson of punctuality and commitment. He scolded me and made me sit and teach him till late at night.

Why did you think it was important to learn it?

It was important for anybody to be responsible and my grandfather wanted me to be the best elder brother so He wanted me to learn and never repeat that mistake. My ignorance could have a negative effect on my brother. So that day I promised him to never repeat this mistake.
