Describe an interesting conversation you had with a very old person.

Introduction.

Talking to old people is like diving into a deep ocean of knowledge and experience. They explain things like nobody can. Conversations with old people can enlighten you about how people lived in the past and customs and traditions. They have taken part in historical events so they know a lot about our country and its history.

- Who this person is.

Here I am going to talk about my grandmother with whom I loved to spend my time most of the day. She lived in the countryside so I visited her regularly during my holidays.

- Where you had the conversation.

I had this conversation at our home once when I was sleeping with her in the afternoon and she started telling me about the times when she was young and they lived across the border today it's called Pakistan.

- What you talked about.

My grandmother was so young when they came to India when partation happened. It was really hard for both sides . There were riots everywhere and social unrest in the community. She told me about the last day when they left Pakistan and came to India. They had to make a very difficult decision as they left a lot behind and crossed the border. The experience in the train was also full of struggle. She tells me a lot about this things as I love to hear stories from the past.

- And explain how you felt about the experience.

The experience was extremely good. I had good and bad feelings both the time I felt good for everyone reached safely and started a new life and bad for the war that took away a lot from us. It was not only material wealth but our emotions and many other things.

No, they are so different and there is a generation gap between them so they can agree and disagree on certain topics. Today's old people are walking hand in hand with the youth and they try to be a part of the modern world.

The old can teach one most important thing that is patience that the youth lack. The old people can teach the young people how they perform all the daily chores without using technology. They performed everything manually and which can be helpful to us in difficult times.

The young can teach technology and language skills as they are doing things traditionally they can learn the modern way of doing things. Today the world is evolving so they need to learn about new gadgets, artificial intelligence and many other things.

4. Do you think old people should live with their family?

Absolutely yes they should live with as they need help in emergency situations they may face medical situations and if family members are around then things can become so easy. They can also provide moral support to the family. Family members should always take care of their elders.
