Describe A Historical Period You Would Like to Know More About.

Introduction.

History has always fascinated me and I loved to hear stories from the past. My grandparents told me stories everyday before sleeping. My grandfather had extraordinary communication skills and the way he described things today nobody can do it. I loved to hear stories about animals,kings,wars,and the independence struggle. India is a land of diversity and this is seen in Indian history.

- What period do you want to know about.

Here I am going to talk about pre Independence era I heard from my grandfather about the independence of India.The story is all about the struggle of freedom fighters who struggled day and night to get independence for India and one man United the whole Country and he was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel without his contribution independence was not possible.

- Why do you want to know about it 

I am always curious to learn about history and legendary figures who contributed to the freedom of my country. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was one of them. His selfless attitude and devotion to the nation was unquestionable. India was divided into more than 562 states ruled by local kings. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel brought everybody together and formed a nation called India. The way my grandfather told me these stories I literally got goosebumps and I was lost in his words.

- How do you think you can know about it?

We can only learn about them in books or from somebody who has experienced their journey so I heard from my grandfather The way the story was told was unforgettable and the story was an important part of Indian independence. Everyone should know the history of their nation. I have studied about this in my school days so I remember this very well.I felt great about our legends, their ethics and values. They never got corrupted and behaved greedy; they served the nation with full devotion. I am inspired by their work and I am motivated to do something for my nation.

Describe A Historical Period You Would Like to Know More About.

Introduction.

India is a land of ancient civilizations. India's social, economic, and cultural configurations are the products of a long process of regional expansion. Indian history begins with the birth of the Indus Valley Civilization and the coming of the Aryans. These two phases are usually described as the pre-Vedic and Vedic age. Hinduism arose in the Vedic period.

- What period do you want to know about?

I would like to know about the Vedic era of my country. Vedic civilization, flourishing along the river Saraswati, named after the Vedas, which depict the early literature of the Hindus. The two greatest epics of this period were the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, still held in great reverence by the followers of Hinduism.  

- Why do you want to know about it ?

During this period most of the religious and spiritual growth took place and many life lessons people learnt from the two epics the Mahabharata and Ramayana. In Hinduism Rama and Krishna are two god's most of the people follow and their teachings are the path to enlightenment. Many other important characters like Lord Hanuman who is the symbol of devotion and Sita and Radha who are worshiped for their companionship with Lord Rama and Lord Krishna. The bhagavad gita's teachings were taught during this period.This period is full of stories from where one can get answers to any question of life. 

- How do you think you can know about it?

We can learn about this period from the books of history and religious books. Many Indian Authors have written about this period in detail and preserved it in library's. Apart from this people can watch The Mahabharata and Ramayana on internet and television which tells a lot about this period.

1. Do you think nowadays children are learning too much about history?

No children of today's generation are less interested in history but they are more curious to know about the current innovation and future.

2. Many children tend to get bored with history because of all these dates, time and names to remember, do you agree with that?

Absolutely yes today children have no interest in kings and queens and wars; they are more futuristic. Their interest is in movies, sports, fashion and technology.

3. Some people tend to go against the idea of learning from past experiences, what about you?

People should learn from the past mistakes and improve by passing time. Going against the facts and ignoring valuable lessons can have negative effects. I always learn from my mistakes and try to improve myself everyday. I take mistakes as a lesson.

4. Do you think it is important to know about history? OR What can we learn from history?

We can learn about our culture and tradition rituals and festivals and their importance. We need to preserve our culture and rich heritage and transmit it to the next generation, so it is extremely important to learn about history. We need to know who we are and the freedom we enjoy is not easily obtained.

5. How can people get reliable historical information?

People can get reliable information from history books, and Museums where the history is preserved in all forms. The Internet can also provide reliable information regarding facts and figures from the past.

6. How do you think famous historical figures can serve as models for young people today?

Absolutely yes the famous historical figures have given a lot of sacrifices to obtain freedom. They can be excellent role models to today's youth and make them patriotic. And from their life young people can learn a lot.

7. Do people in your country like to visit museums?

Yes, a museum is a place where historical things are preserved. The youth and children love to know how people lived in the past so they love to visit the museum.

8. Who do you think likes to go to museums more – children or adults?

 Both of them love to visit the museum. They have an interest in history and historical things. Children are more curious to know about weapons, paintings,clay vessels, and clothes people used in the past.

9. Do you think museums should be free of cost to enter?

No they should not be absolutely free otherwise it will become hard to maintain the things there should be some amount of entrance fee. Anything free is not valued by anyone.

10. Do you think local people and tourists should pay the same amount to enter a museum?

Yes they should pay the same amount. If the tourists pay more it's like discrimination and they will have a bad image of local culture and community so I believe everyone should pay the same amount.

11. How do you think the museums of the future might be different from the museums of today?

The museum of the future will have more technology and will be able to preserve things in a better way. They will have more space for things to preserve. They will have more security and minimum chance for theft.

12. How do you think the museums of the future might portray the 21st century?

The museum will portray the current century as the most innovative era which has survived a pandemic and series of inventions that changed the way of life. They will have all the technology that we have invented today.
