Describe An Advertisement That You Don’t Like.

Introduction.

Advertising is the key to morden business but it has darker sides. Some advertisements influence our buying behavior and these products are of no use and misleading. Sometimes famous figure heads also endorse products which have no importance. Some advertisements have sensitive content that grab the attention of viewers.

- When did you see it?

Here I am going to talk about an advertisement I do not like at all. It is an advertisement for a cold drink. I watched this advertisement recently when I was watching a popular award show.

- What is it about?

This advertisement is promoting a cold drink and it is promoted by a very well-known celebrity of my country. The content of this advertisement is unrealistic and influences people to drink this beverage which is not healthy and the celebrity even tells people drinking this cold drink will make them look brave. Some action scenes are shot and show the celebrity flying in a helicopter and landing with a cold drink which is totally unreasonable. Copying or believing anything in this advertisement will have a grave effect on immature viewers.

- Where you saw it/how you came to know about it?

I was watching a popular television program and this advertisement appeared and it was repeatedly telecasted in between the whole program so I noticed and told my family members this kind of advertisement are not good for immature children who consider this celebrity a role model.

- Why you didn’t like it.

I did not like this advertisement as it was having very disturbing and unrealistic content and it was promoting an unhealthy beverage to look tough and macho. I believe watching or coming under the influence of such adverts can have a grave effect on youth.

Describe An Advertisement That You Don’t Like.

Introduction.

Advertisements can be interesting and annoying at the same time. Today every media platform is flooded with advertisements and this really has a significant effect on our buying behavior. Some celebrities endorse one useful product but many of them promote a product which can be harmful and have negative effects like cosmetics, energy drinks, gambling, tobacco products, junk food and cold drinks.

- When did you see it?

Here I am going to talk about an advertisement which I saw recently. I watch cricket regularly while watching a match, I saw an advertisement where three popular celebrities were promoting a tobacco product under the name of other similar products.

- What is it about?

This product is a pan masala and three India movie stars are endorsing this brand. They use their phenomenal popularity to encourage the youth to chew this pan masala. And it's quite sensitive in content. A very popular gutkha brand has made this advertisement.

- Where you saw it/how you came to know about it?

First time I saw this advertisement was on television while watching a live match and I did not like it at all. Akshay Kumar who is a health conscious celebrity was also seen in this advertisement. Which created a turbulence in his fan following also. Now I see this advertisement on many public platforms like billboards, hoardings, even this brand promotes products by sponsoring television awards shows.

- Why you didn’t like it.

I don't like this advertisement at all. It is the most pathetic advertisement and leads the youth towards addiction. The tag line is "bolo zuba kesri" which encourages youths to chew tobacco. So I feel this is the advertisement i don't like.
