Describe a time when you organized a happy event IELTS CUE CARDS vinodsharmaielts

Introduction.

Management is not an easy task and organising an event needs a lot of effort and hardwork. Today people don't take this hassle and they get it by outsourcing. But when it comes to our personal relationships we want to organise by ourselves and make it grand as much as possible. We try our best to make that day memorable.

Main Answer.

Here I am going to talk about my mothers birthday celebration.

- What the event was.

In my childhood I have seen my mother celebrating my birthday with love and joy. She left no stone unturned to make my day special. So today it was my turn she was turning 50 and I wanted to give back and show my love towards my mother and make her feel special as she made me many times.

- How you prepared for it.

I did a proper preparation to make the day grand so I involved my father and siblings to organise this event. Firstly, I booked her favourite restaurant for the celebration and I knew her favourite dishes so dinner was all her favourite. My sister and her friend went to the venue and took charge of decoration. I printed my mother all old and new pictures so she would feel the timeline of life. My dad also decided to give her a gold ring. The event was mesmerising as all guests came on time. We took her to the venue by surprise and the event began. We all danced to old classic songs. My father sang a song for her and we all together made her day.

- Who helped you to organize it?

My dad is the pillar of my strength. He gave me all support with finance and motivation. My sister and her friends did a hard job. My close friend. Helped me find a good venue and my cousins who were with me all the time helped me make this happen.

- And explain why you think it was a successful event.

It was a mind-blowing event. It was so grand that one can not imagine the work behind it. All guests danced, ate food, clicked pictures, played games, invoked old memories, and showered blessings to my parents so I believe it was a grand event.

Part 3 - Follow-up Questions

How can parents help children to be organized?

I think parents should have a daily schedule for their children. They should also allot every task a fixed amount of time. For example, they can ask them to write each task on the calendar and write how much time they expect to give to it alongside it. Then, there should be rewards and punishments for finishing or not finishing the tasks.

On what occasions do people need to be organized?

I don’t think people need an occasion to be organised. We should try to be organised all the time. When we are organised we tend to save time and do things faster. Also, being organised creates a good impression on others.

Does everything need to be well prepared?

I think all the important things should be well prepared, but the minor details can be left out. It's like a speech, we prepare the main ideas but we leave some liberty to make some changes with the minor details. Preparing everything in advance would be very exhausting if not impossible.

Do people need others' help when organizing things?

Well, it depends upon the task. If we are organising a big event, we definitely need help. For example, wedding planners have a whole team of 10-15 members because a single person cannot manage everything. But, if there are small things like a small family get together, I think a person can organise it on their own.
