- When you got it.- How you got it

Here I am going to talk about an occasion when I received incorrect information. I had to make a college project and collected information from multiple sources and I believe everything was accurate. One part of my project contained information regarding waste management data which I searched from a blog.

- How you found it was incorrect.

When my project was completed I went to my professor who is a pedagogical expert in waste management and he has done his doctorate in the subject. He highlighted all the information which I collected from a blog and said this is far away from facts and has nothing no authenticy. He also gave me some research papers to correct my facts and write again otherwise. The college can reject my entire project. I did all the corrections and submitted my project which was accepted and I felt a sense of relief.

- And how you felt about it.

I felt terrible when I came to know one part of my project was totally incorrect and I was so thankful to my guide who corrected me on time and saved me from a huge academic blunder. From that day I used the internet but checked information multiple times to avoid such situations in future. So this was the occasion when I received incorrect information and learnt a very important lesson to check facts from authorized websites.

MODEL ANSWER 2

Describe an occasion when you got incorrect information.

Introduction.

I love traveling and before making a plan I do my research which includes weather, accomodation, transport, and many other necessary things. Sometimes traveling without proper information can lead you into chaos and create trouble. Hiring a professional is always a good idea.

- When you got it.- How you got it.

Last summer I visited Udaipur and it was an amazing experience. The rich heritage of Rajasthan mesmerized me totally. During the tour we booked a hotel with the help of a local friend. Normally we make bookings from official websites which give us good facilities and discounts. This time on the internet everything was booked so I needed to rely on local sources and I received incorrect information.

- How you found it was incorrect.

When we reached the hotel which was shown in the picture. It was totally misleading. The booking was confirmed in a small hotel behind a popular hotel and they sent us pictures of the popular one. When we reached we came to know something is fishy and called the local source. And discussed the incorrect information he gave us.

- And how you felt about it.

I felt like I was cheated in the beginning when I reached and saw nothing was according to the promise made and advance payment was done so they were not going to cancel in the peak season. So I stayed in a small hotel at last. It did not have many amenities but they took good care of hygiene and served us authentic rajasthani food. Which washed away all bad feeling of getting incorrect information.
