Introduction.
Eating a cake on special occasions is common around the world. There are millions of flavours of cake available. And one can modify a cake with pictures and other ingredients. From children to adults all love to eat cake. Special cakes are baked for special occasions like marriage and anniversary.
Main Answer.
Here I am going to talk about a cake I had received on my daughters birthday.
- When it happened
It was my daughter's first birthday and we as a family wanted to make it big. My sister took the responsibility of the cake and it turn out to be the most wonderful and delicious cake I had ever.
- Where it happened.
This birthday party was organised in a popular hotel in my hometown where all close friends and relatives were invited to celebrate the special occasion.
- Who you got the cake from.
My younger sister got this cake baked from the best bakery of our home town it was a modified cake of a popular flavour.She brought the cake in the beginning of party and everybody was just staring at it.
- And explain why it's a special cake.
It was a special cake as it was baked for the special occasion. It was three layers of cake with different flavours. On the top of the layer there was a Barbie doll kept. It had a lot of design work done with edible colours. There was a small picture of my daughter which I clicked on the day she was born. This made the cake and occasion memorable.

What are the differences between special food made in India and other countries?
Food is always different from other countries as it has local ingredients and tastes of local cuisine. Indian foods are more spicy and a lot of dishes are made in curry form. while, western food is more baked and barbeque.
Is there any food in your country which is eaten on special occasions or special times?
Yes there are plenty of foods and sweet dishes which have a significant impact on Indian festivals and people don't miss eating them on special occasions. For example jalebi fafda on dussehra, undhiyu on uttarayan and many others.
Why are some people willing to spend a lot of money on meals on special days?
People want to make every occasion special and memorable so they spend a lot on food and celebrate with their near and dear ones by doing such things they create memories.
Do you think it’s good to communicate when eating with your family?
Absolutely yes it's very common in Indian houses. People discuss many important topics over lunch or dinner. And it's good to discuss while having a meal together. This shows the bond between two people and respect for their food too. My family and I discuss our daily routine while having dinner together. Our parents have made a ground rule to eat one meal together every day.
