Today I am going to talk about a newly constructed stadium near my home town.
- What it was about.
Cricket is like religion in India and many people love to play and watch cricket, recently Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a new constructed stadium in Ahmedabad. It was previously known as motera stadium. Now the whole premises is renovated. Formerly known as the Sardar Patel stadium, the Narendra Modi stadium is located in Motera, near Ahmedabad and is one of the major Cricket stadiums of the Gujarat Cricket Association.
- Where you saw/heard it.
I saw the inauguration ceremony online as it was a major event in Gujarat cricket history. This stadium is the biggest stadium in the world. The stadium is not only the largest in terms of seating capacity of 1,32,000 , but is also the biggest in terms of dimensions as well.
- Who was involved?
The honourable President RamNath Kovind and Honourable Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated this stadium and kept it open for regional and international cricket matches. All formats of cricket are played here as it has the best infrastructure in the world.
- And explain why people were interested in it.
People of Gujarat are so happy and proud of this news as the biggest stadium of the world is located in their home station and now they can enjoy all the matches in their own town so everyone was so happy to hear this news.

Yes, Definitely newspapers are a popular media and still many prefer to read in local language. In my area many local newspapers are published and many people start their day with a cup of tea and fresh news paper.

People prefer to read all kinds of news but local news comes first. It is more important to know about the local affairs. Moreover, people connect more with the local news. On the other hand, International news is also widely popular. People have keen interest in international affairs too.
3. Do you think it’s important to have a national identity ?
Absolutely Yes we must have national identity. It helps us to preserve our national heritage and culture. We all have a moral duty to develop national identity by celebrating our national days,festivals and many other things.
