Describe an ambition that you haven't achieved IELTS CUE CARDS VINODSHARMAIELTS

Introduction.

Goals and ambition helps us to focus and become successful. One who does not have a goal or ambition and lives a random life reaches nowhere in life. Success and failure are two sides of a coin and they walk together. Many times we face failure in our life. We should not get demotivated by setbacks but keep working towards our goal.

Main Answer.

Here I am going to talk about my ambition which I haven't achieved.

- What it is.

I always wanted to study abroad in the best university. Especially in The United States of America. I was dreaming about my future life and career in the USA.

- Why you haven't achieved it.

As I finished my higher secondary education I started my IELTS and language training in full swing. I did not look back to train myself and hone my language skills. After getting a colourful band score I applied to a well-known University and followed all the steps. But the high commission did not grant me my student visa. I felt demotivated and a little bit nervous. They gave it to me. Reasons for some financial documents which had nothing to do with my academics.

- What you did.

I came home heartbroken and my father got my mood. He encouraged me and explained his life and failure. And told me to take it positively. He told me something good will happen. The next day I changed my country and I applied to a Canadian University which was equally well known in academics. Finally My visa was granted and I started my higher education in Canada.

- And how you felt about it.

I did not feel good. I was totally fed-up and lost. Heartbroken when I faced failure my parents gave me moral support and pushed me in another direction. And I felt good. I think parents are the pullers of moral support; they never let us down. Sometimes our struggle becomes their struggle.

Part 3 - Follow-up Questions

What ambitions do children usually have?

Children have many ambitions. The first ambition is mainly about the profession- in childhood, everyone has an ambition to do something noble like becoming a doctor or do something exciting like becoming a pilot or an astronaut. Then, children also have an ambition of earning huge amounts
of money.

Why are some people very ambitious in their work?

I think it’s just a part of their nature. They are ambitious because they want to grow and achieve something in their life. They want to be known for their work.

Why don't some people have dreams?

I think everyone has certain dreams. It’s just that some people are too lazy to work for their dreams. On the other hand, there are others who can do anything for their dreams and it shows.

How do people balance work and life?

I think everyone does it in their own way. My mother switches off her work mobile phone after 5 PM. Some people do it by taking regular breaks when they only focus on their family. I think it is something Almost every person tries to do and fails. In recent years, even governments are taking steps like limiting work hours so people are able to do so.
